Sophia Grotkin is a passionate attorney with a focus on estate planning, administration, and antenuptial agreements. With a solid foundation in family law, she graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School and has built a diverse career, including roles at top law firms in Minnesota and Oregon. Five years ago, Sophia took a leap and founded her own practice with some amazing partners, a move that has truly paid off. Her peers have recognized her talent consistently, naming her a Super Lawyer Rising Star for the past three years and including her in Best Lawyers in America and Best Law Firms in America for three and two consecutive years, respectively. Recently, she was honored with the Five Star Professional Award in the Financial Firm sector.

When she's not in the office, Sophia is an active member of the NAWBO group, which supports women in business. Her personal life is just as vibrant—she loves cheering on her three children at their sports events, savoring the culinary delights of the Twin Cities, and immersing herself in local community activities. If she weren’t an attorney, Sophia likes to think she’d be making a difference as a private jet pilot or hosting families at a charming North Shore resort, continuing her love for connecting with and helping others.

She earned her J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law, graduating Cum Laude, and holds a B.A. from the University of Minnesota, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Her professional journey is marked by significant accomplishments, including being named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers from 2020 to 2024, as well as being selected for inclusion in the 2024 and 2025 editions of Best Lawyers in America and Best Law Firms in America. She is also an active panel member and community volunteer, reflecting her dedication to giving back.

Outside of her professional life, Heather finds joy in immersing herself in nature, enjoying a good book, and supporting her favorite sports teams. She dreams of continuing to expand her expertise to better support families and contribute positively to her community.
